I started cross-dressing at age 13, I am in mid 50's now. It took me almost 25 years to be able to be accepting of myself. So give it time, don't dwell on things and just have fun with it when you do cross-dressing.

There's a distinct difference between someone with gender identity issues and someone that cross dresses because it sexually arouses them. That's not to say that one person can't do both, but it's pretty "unusual"
