Is it normal that i always close my door when it's a night

I always close my room door in night because it makes me feel unsettled, like I feel that someone is gonna come and jump on me while I'm sleeping

I have to keep my door open for the convenience of my feline companion.

Mine doesn't bother with doors, she just sleeps on top of my head... Very nice in winter, very annoying in summer, when it's 30C and you got a hot, fluffy cat hat on your head.

My cat either sleeps by my feet like a little dog, or gets under the covers, and sleeps beside me.

    • I love my cat, but I also have a LOT of things he can break and choke on... i close my door specifically because I don't want my cat or dog to get sick on anything in my room. But they are allowed with supervision! :D

I lock my door with a key. But my mom has a spare in her room just in case. I cant sleep a wink with my door unlocked let alone open. Its unsettling, especially when my dog comes in and starts licking me in areas I won't mention. Sometimes it escalates.

I have to leave the door open so I can hear the baby and also my cat would cry loudly if it was shut. I get what you mean though, I do think I'd feel a bit more secure if it was shut. It's another barrier between you and the monsters that could invade at night.

I do the opposite. I leave the door open so I can hear what's going on in the rest of the house.
