I was like this in junior high and wouldn't recommend it. People found it annoying, since the way characters act in anime isn't how people act in real life, so it comes across as strange. I wouldn't recommend it. There are other ways for you to express your connection to these characters, like through cosplay, drawing, or writing about them, and those are more socially acceptable.
