Is it normal that i’m terrified of teeth?

So since around middle school, I’ve had an emmense fear of teeth. Even just typing the word is giving me chills. It’s not like a scream kind of fear, but I’m worried that one day it will become one. Each year it gets worse. I’m not afraid of dentists, in fact I quite like mine. I believe it may stem from the fact that I had to have all of my teeth pulled as a kid due to my strong roots, and I also had to have many cavities filled as I was born without enamel. Anyway, the word, the visual, and especially scenes in movies really cause me discomfort. Often people think I’m joking and will show me their teeth when I tell them. It’s gotten to the point where I’ve begun vomiting at the thought. They are disgusting to me. I’ve done some research and can’t find any others with this fear.

TLDR: I’m terrified of teeth of any kind and even vomit at the thought.

I’m aware this isn’t normal, but maybe others share this fear or know where it could stem from or how to fix it. Thanks!

Having all your teeth pulled seems like a good enough reason to have a fear of them!!

I don't understand how you had all your cavities filled if all your teeth were pulled.

I suggest not telling people this fear and they won't show you their teeth.
