    Night vision goggles are pretty expensive. There's no chance a person willing to get some will use it to get in the house of a random nobody.

        Infiltrate a high security location, rob or kidnap someone famous or with a lot of money, tamper with evidences at a police station just to name a few. They don't care about a random person. There's no point.

                People do not see you in the dark. And they don't usually use night goggles to enter random citizen homes.
                If you go there people can enter with a chainsaw, a bazooka, a flamethrower, a pack of alligators, anything is possible with "if". But you're just being stupid by creating situation that will not happen.
                If you want to live being afraid of everything, it's your choice. Don't expect people to be like you.
