Normal. No matter how comfy the furnishings are a hotel will never feel like home. I tend to be very uncomfortable in them because 1. I'll worry about cameras and my privacy being invaded, 2. Accidentally ruining something in the room and it costing me a fortune, 3. Bed bugs (though, if the hotel is rather high class you'll probably have to worry less but keep your guard up!) 4. I wonder what sort of things might have previously happened in the room like if something kinky, disgusting or illegal might have happened there, 5 My safety, 6. The fact that you are never really alone, etc.
If I could, I'd much rather not stay in hotels when traveling.
Is it normal that hotels make me uncomfortable?
