Is it normal that hospitals and doctor's offices calm me down?

    I guess it's unusual but normal. What is it about the doctor's office that calms you down? I'm nervous about going to the gyno this month because I have to have a pap test :/ I need relaxation tips.

      I'm not sure why it calms me down. I have several theories though. It could be that being around so many sick and dying people makes my own anxiety and depression seem trivial.
