These terms also divide these people from people who have other religious beliefs, as well as dividing them from people who are not religious. The use of these terms might be offensive to some people, whether they are religious, or whether they are not religious.

Also, which deity are you referring to, that the divided person purportedly had 'childish beliefs', towards?
