No. He's 44 and tired. End of story. I've heard sex drive peaks for guys around 22 and not for girls until their 30's. Sometimes the mind says yes but the body says hell no. There's usually only one bullet in the chamber at that age.
As far as turning away, maybe he's just sleeping in the way that's most comfortable at that time. I vary which side I turn to sleep nowadays.
