He's in a new place...lots of new stuff to do and friends to be made at school. If you went to a different country would you be waiting by your phone for him to write you? I'd hope not!
You need to tell him how you feel and maybe set up a time every few days where you can have a skype date or something.
Is it normal that he changed that much ?
