Is it normal that eye makeup makes my eyelids swell?

This began happening about six months ago. No matter what brand I use, my eyelids begin to swell right after application and stay that way until I take the makeup off.

    Nope, it sounds like you have an allergy. A funny thing is that both Avon, Almay are brands whose eye makeup has irritated my eyes, and Almay is supposed to be hypoallergenic. I generally only wear Estee Lauder, Lancôme and other department store cosmetics.

    You probably have very sensitive eye lids. Try buying makeup at the pharmacy by brands that specifically create makeup for sensitive eyes.
