Is it normal that every time my phone rings it annoys me?

    I am the same way - I just associate any phone call with bad news (aka: Claire, do me a favor and...., or "this is your doctor; you have herpes"....., or my mother calling to 'chat' for 3 hours)

    Fear of the unknown, also, phone conversations just suck
    - akward silence
    - the ediquette and small talk that always happens before the actual purpose of the call is layed out
    - constant talking over eachother cos you think the other person is done... but they are just placing odd pauses in between words
    - difficulty to end a conversation
    etc.............. I could go on

      Ha yeah that list sums up a lot of my telephone conversations perfectly.
