I don't label people on their appearance, I label them on their personality and clothing style. If it looks like an emo, walks like an emo, talks like an emo, has the personality of an emo, then they're an emo.
Where did I ever even insinuate that I base what an emo is on their clothing? I didn't, I was explaining what I believe an emo to be.
Everything you have said has absolutly nothing to do with what I initially said, so you wasted your time.
"I don't label people on their appearance, I label them on their personality and clothing style."
"Where did I ever even insinuate that I base what an emo is on their clothing?"
You just contradicted yourself. Not all "emo" kids/people are the same, and they definitely don't all act the same. And, please, tell me, how does one walk and talk like an "emo"?
How did I contridict myself? I said I don't label them on their clothing, I label them on their clothing "and" (being the key word) their personality. One is only one trait, the other is two traits. So no, I didn't contridict myself, you just didn't understand.
No, they don't all act the same, but most share the same traits. Some sort of self pity, thinking they're too complicated to understand, say their life is terrible when compaired to others, their life is great. Cut, and take pride in cutting, but like to act like they don't like it, bad clothing, hair straightened down the eye area, etc.
I have lived n many different countries, and have known a lot of emos, believe me, I know what an emo is.
Some just like the style, and most "emo" kids don't even cut. I have met so many "emo" and scene kids that are so nice and so sweet and I actually don't think that I've ever met one that has wallowed in his or her own self pity. And to say that they have bad clothing just proves my point that these kids are getting made fun of for their self expression.
And I did understand and you did contradict yourself. Even though you said that you label them by their clothing AND their personality, you're still labeling them by their clothing, so technically speaking, you did contradict yourself.
You haven't met "most" emos, so you wouldn't know. You are implying that being an emo is a clothing genre, nothing more, which isn't true. I listed many things that would make them victims od being made fun of, clothing only beong one of them, the least one that they would of been made fun of from the list.
No, I would be contridicting myself if I was meaning the two traits individually, by stating "and" I was stating that "both" need to be traits that can be seen, not the clothing by itself. So no, I didn't contradict myself.
I never said that I met "most" emo kids, I said that most emo kids don't cut, there's a difference. Maybe you just didn't understand me. And I'm not implying that being "emo" is just a genre, what I'm saying is that their clothing is one of the things that gets made fun of the most.
And now it sounds like your defending "emo" kids, which, if I'm not misunderstood, you think that they are "fucking attenttion seeking and cry over small fucking things." Am I right?
You haven't met most emos, yet you know what most emos do and don't do? Unless you have a working crystal ball, you make no sense. You couldn't possibly know if most emos don't cut if you haven't met most emos, that was my point.
Ok, then what else makes an emo an emo?
No, I'm not defending them. I have met so many emos that thought their life was terrible for the smallest things. They get too emotional over trivial matters.
Is it normal that emo kids piss me off
