It makes my stomach hurt and sometimes I've nearly vomited!
I've been eating the meatless varieties, but those aren't really healthy either. But at less, I don't get remind of what die for it.
The last few times I had meat, I started thinking in a existential way and how the animal died for this "meat". How it must of felt when it was killed and whether or not it knew about its impending death? It gives me a bit of a guilt trip and then I think about how many animals are killed in this country for the purpose of man. Which then makes me think how many are killed in the world: every second, every hour, every day, and so on. The number must be ridiculously high.
I've never really been a fan of meat. My immediate family has learned that this is how I am. My relatives in the south, think I have some "problems", because of my great dislike for meat.
Do you like fish? The last I checked, fish aren't killed in such violent terms compared to most "farm animals". Does your family eat vegetables? You don't have to eat meat with every meal. You can subtly try to balance it off. Eat fish with vegetables and grains. Eat fruit and dairy for breakfast. Something with protein, but also a balance of other nutrients.
People are strange. So, what if you don't like meat? That's normal. Shame on your family for making you feel bad. You shouldn't have to pretend to be what you aren't. When it comes down to it, be yourself. If they have a problem with it, than tell to fuck off.
Is it normal that eating meat makes me feel sick?
