Sometimes I see a picture with a bunch of dots and it bothers the hell out of me. Like if you google "bleeding mushroom" and see the images. Those give me shivers. Normal stuff (like a polka dot shirt or whatever) don't have that effect though. Does anyone else experience this?
hey i was just randomly looking this up and i saw your comment. and i just made an account just to reply to this lol. I find this more like a phobia than a problem or pet peeve. i have the same thing as you, a classmate of mine was using a marker and dry erase board and put dots all over it like tons of them and i was hella irritated, i looked it up and its called trypophobia i believe. i looked up them mushrooms..CRAP it bothers the shit out of me too. i hated it..i have to like ah i cant even explain it but your not alone. :D
I have a similar fear of clusters of dots. It started when I contracted a bad case of chicken pox at the age of 11. There were clusters of pox all over my body and I was so grossed out by them. The fear of clusters of dots was intense afterwards - I wouldn't even eat hamburger buns with sesame seeds on them! I'm getting better about it now though.
