Is it normal that dairy products make my lips swell up

Every time I have dairy products (Mainly cow milk, ice cream, yogurt, etc...) it makes my lips raw and puffy and my ears really scratchy. I thought this happened to everyone but my friends are saying no. Is it normal?

    Lactose is the enzyme in your gut that digests lactose sugar.

    Pay attention to your science class.

    You sound like you have a histamine reaction to dairy.

    Get an allergen test.

      You mean lactase is the enzyme.

      Lactose intolerance and dairy allergy (including histamine reaction) are two separate things.

      OP should, however, go to a doctor, before it progresses to an anaphylactic reaction.

        What moron voted that post down? I was about to post the same thing: stay away from the dairy and see your doctor because you're obviously having an allergic reaction and this could escalate to a life-threatening anaphylactic reaction.
