Is it normal that boys at university hate me?

I am 19 years old and I am a second year student at an all boys university. I am not anti-social, but I do not really like being around lots of people. I like to choose my friends who I want to hang out with or talk to. Whenever I am at the university, the boys give me mean looks and I always hear that people talk about me. Some of them whisper to each other and laugh when they see me. But I always ignore them, because since they talk about me, they are jealous because I am too good to care about what they say. Two years have passed and they are still hating on me. When are they going to forget about me? Why can't they just pretend I'm not visible! I am really starting to feel annoyed. I need help.

  • Focus on school. That shit doesn't matter and you'll be out of there in no time. I mean...why would you want to be their friend anyway? You'll be okay.

    • I didn't say I want to be their friend .. I'm just so annoyed of how they want to bother me all the time! And they do this because I do not want to be their friend. They are sick people

  • Fuck them and just get better grades than them and then you will get a better job than them after you graduate and some of them may evan be calling you Boss.

  • Kill them with kindness. Try to smile a bit more and say hey when you pass by someone you kinda know even if it's just from sitting next to them in class. Being in school at all is hard, but I can imagine that with the social restrictions of an all one gender school could be a bit worse.

    • True. I have done what you said months ago, but still nothing changed.

  • you have two options, you can choose to do your own thing and be ridiculed and learn how to deal with that, or you can act like the rest and have a chance to fit in with society. Trying to fit in may not be such a bad thing. Life gives you lemons, make lemonade. I'm not saying to try and pretend you are someone else, just try to give people a chance to like you.

  • What country are you from where a university is actually allowed to be all male? Can't you go to a co-ed school instead?

  • You must look awkward cause people are not hated or being laughed at for nothing. If you dont want to get noticed try to blend in.
