Those athletes work really hard so they can someday open a used car lot and do cocaine in their retirement years
It's normal (though not necessarily right) in the same way other entertainers (such as actors, singers, dancers, artists, etc.) do...
They get more than politicians. Thats where the smart money is. Take that you people who said dumb jocks.
It seems kind of unfair... but really all their salary is just a cumulation of lots and lots of people putting in little bits of money.
It's not like people take large sums of money away from other deserving people and put it towards sports (usually)... it's just the addition of all the little revenues that sports produce from so many people being interested. At least I think.
I would also argue that sports can be important. It can be inspirational, entertainment, and keeping high quality players and teams out there motivates younger people to get out and be active and keeps them away from a lot of worse things they could be doing.
Agreed. It's good for landlords, especially. During the Boston Marathon (before people started exploding at the end), my finances soared from all of the tourism.
Prove that you own a 5 star hotel. Prove your wealth. Prove it because otherwise you are just telling fantastical stories. Prove that you went overseas to help with the ebola outbreak. Prove that you have a PHD at age 21.
How exactly am I supposed to prove something over the internet. Photoshop and editing techniques make internet "proof" almost completely groundless.
What do you want me to do? Go into the bank vault where all of my money is being stored and take a selfie? Buy another plane ticket to Liberia and take a selfie there?
Also, I don't have a PhD yet, dumbass. I am studying for one, expecting to complete my thesis in a few months.
In that case, take a picture of yourself so I believe you're not an AI. Never mind the fact there's 7.4 billion people in the world and billions of pictures of people to copy/paste, it's irrefutable proof of your existence.
That's about as much credibility as you will get from anyone online.
