Is it normal that as i'm falling asleep i hear my name being called

By familiar and non-familiar voices? I'm usually right on the verge of slumber and I hear my name and I wake up.

    Yeah..... I had this happen a couple times.
    At first I thought it was my sister ( who's room is next to mine) calling my name to freak me out... It wasnt her. This usedto freak me out. But then you realize that it's just your mind telling you that you are really, really crazy!
    Just accept it and move on the yellow brick road!!

    I have this occationaly its nothing wierd or unnormal I mean you basicly are just about to start a dream most likely.
