Benzodiazepines are cross tolerant to alcohol because they both effect GABA receptors. Hopefully you do not drink and take benzos together at the same time because that is just asking for trouble. Your body is probably building a tolerance to the alcohol and that is why it does not feel the same or as "good" like it used to.
