  • I only quoted statistics so I don't know how you find that patronising.

    • Statistics on how long it takes to get over a relationship...how the hell is that measured? And quoting statistics as a fact for such an ambiguous and emotional subject does sound patronising as does stating: "Move on Mrs".

      • Have you ever heard of research? The type which involves questioning hundreds of people in a survey to ask how long it took them to get over a relationship? That's how they get statistics!

Now I am being patronising coz you are adding sweet f**k all to the OP, and obviously crave attention.

Any poor woman who can't move on after 24 years needs a good stern talking to. Obviously, people around her have been enablers and pandered to her, so allowing her to waste her life.

Now I certainly feel superior to you, so go away and allow people to answer the OP, you're boring me!

        • Your sarcasm is out of place here, whereas I am trying to reassure the OP that there is basically nothing abnormal about taking longer than "3 months" to get over a relationship. I do believe that is relevant. Not sure where the 24 yrs comes from....

After they have finished partying this numbness could wear off and it could well impact on them then, that is normal, even if it is longer than 3 months, but they will get over it and move on eventually.
