I know a guy who plays C.O.D and he has kind of an effeminate voice. It is not just that his voice isn't very deep either, but it is also pretty soft. Even when he is yelling or really pissed off, it's difficult to take him seriously sometimes because his voice just doesn't have that edge to it. Even when he is speaking loudly, his voice is pretty soft.
Personally, I find it quite charming but I can understand why it would be considered gay because for many people, gay and "effeminate" go hand in hand. It's more normal than you think it is.
