    • You want the history class version for little kids or the truth of the matter?

        • When: The 4th Thursday in November.

How: People eating a ton of food and being "Thankful", spending time with loved ones.

Why: (school version) It marks a feast that was held by the Pilgrims (English settlers) and the Indians (Native Americans) back in 1621 where they became friends.

          The truth is very complicated.

            • Yep, strictly American as far as I know. Well, Canada has their own version of it but I don't know jack about it except it is in like early to mid October.

    • Thanksgiving is also a way to celebrate the end of the harvest season. Winter is coming, it's a time to be thankful for what you have and enjoy the fruits of your labor. It's a time to gather and celebrate with those around you and eat.

      • That's a very good explanation. It makes more sense.
