When a fat person is called fat almost all the time (which I'm sure you do, because your an asshole......obviously), the person gets depressed and insecure. Before you know it she can no longer socialise because of her insecurities. She becomes very secluded and an automatic introvert. Also because she's depressed she eats more and more. So basically she becomes a secluded person who does nothing but eat and hate herself and eat again. So instead of working on being healthy she grows worse. Now I'm not saying this is what happens to everyone and I don't know if its happening to your step daughter (hopefully its not).
All I'm saying is insulting her does her no good. It may never get her to work on being healthy. Now if you really want to help her, sit down and have a mature conversation with her (not a "your a whale" kind of conversation.....dick move stepdad). Tell her the health risks and all that. Help her to work out if possible (that will encourage her to work out more).
