IIN Starbucks and Target refuse to acknowledge Christmas?

  • The Starbucks controversy is manufactured as the cups never said Christmas. They had things in the past like snow men and falling snow and things like that.

    But when a company says happy holidays rather than merry Christmas, they aren't refusing to acknowledge Christmas, they are simply acknowledging that other holidays are celebrated at this time of year. Using a term that covers them all just makes good sense. Staying merry Christmas to everyone that walks through the door doesn't make any more sense than saying Happy Chanukah to everyone that walks through the door.
