Sure. But as I said, we all pretty much agree that it us rude to scoff at any gift, right? I'm just saying it comes across as extra rude if you are begging for said gift and you act all pretentious. Shut up and take it and if you don't like it, at least be discrete.
Look at how dumb that comment was overall. Someone who is broke, living on the street without the means and probably the motivation to practice normal basic hygiene actually expecting respect?! This is the ridiculousness of the times we live in. People having pride for accomplishing absolutely NOTHING. While expecting you to not just help them but to freely give them something you may not even treat yourself to.
"Hey I'm a total scumbag with nothing to my name and no accomplishments but don't you dare judge me....can I have some money, and uh not just loose change, because than I have to stand here all day asking for money"
I'd say that original comment was just a troll, but they sounded serious and I actually know someone in real life who approaches people and life in general as if it's all just owed to them for the simple fact that they "need" it.
We all are born and die. Do we take these so called "accomplishments" with us when we die?? No, you crumble to dust. Because everyone is human regardless of what they have done in life.
So WHAT if someone doesn't wanna shower?!? It's disgusting but who are you to try and dictate people's lives?!?
You sound so judgmental and stuck up. You aren't better than anyone else. Get over yourself
You don't know what someone out in the streets has been through. Anyone could end up there with the right set of not-so-great circumstances.
You sound like a shitty human being to tell ya the truth
And some humans CHOOSE to do something productive every day and other humans CHOOSE to do nothing. Those that CHOOSE to do nothing are not worth considering.
Yes, I am judgmental. Just as you are. Just as everyone is. You judged me for being judgmental.
Someone who doesn't shower is gross and disgusting and I don't want to be around them.
I'm not actually a shitty person. I just think people should be accountable and responsible for themselves. Those that make the choice to not be aren't really worth my consideration. We aren't all special and unique snowflakes. We're just dust as you said.
Nobody chooses to be homeless because its easier than getting a job. It's a bad situation that's really hard to get out of if you don't have any family to help you, who is going to give you a job to buy a home when you live on the street? And what benefit would a job show this person if it doesn't pay for their living expenses?
True. I agree that it's wrong to act unappreciative with gifts people wish to give you.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding the story but I still have doubts they were even begging for said gift. What if maybe you just assumed that because they're in the street they're automatically begging. You just said it yourself that's not what they even wanted.
Did it say in a sign, I want food or did it say I want organic food? I'd imagine they were begging for the specific one they wanted. If they weren't then you're right that is ruuude!
They asked for food and some ask to bum a smoke. They didn't specify, they just complained after. Not every single one, just some do. Cigarettes are expensive and it's asking a lot to give one away so it's aggrivating if they say awww it's a menthol as if I took a dump on their face.
Is it normal: Snobby hobos?

No concept of earning what you want in life.
