  • Well, regardless of what you think of me or my posts, smoking can make you really sick and can kill. I used to smoke, and especially since I moved to Vegas, Bronchitis was a frequent and unwanted companion in my life.

I quit around four years ago, if my memory serves me well. I dunno why, but it was relatively easy for me. I have other cancer risks in addition to lung cancer which have kept me away from tobacco.

It sounds like its not an easy task, but do it anyway. It's a really good feeling when that chest rattle goes away.

    • Well, I simply didn't want to be misunderstood or deemed having a "juvenile" reason to smoke. When it is more complex than that.

I did originally make this post to see if fellow smokers endure the same "rattle/rumbling" everytime they inhale, to see if it is common or just me.

It turned into statements about disease/health risks, I understand and know too well (I've lost loved ones to disease caused from smoking) But that input is good to see now, because all of the comments regarding this, reiterates what I know and should, actually need, to keep in mind as I quit.

Thanks though, your emphysema comment scared me. I didn't want to assume such a problem at just 25. Ignorance is bliss sometimes and that disease scares me the most, by far.

      -Congrats on quitting.
