You shouldn't even do that. It throws off your pH balance down there, which can lead to an annoying itch at best and a yeast infection at worst.
The best way to clean that part of you is to just rinse it off with some plain shower water.
Your body has its own natural cleaning system which will balance out your pH by itself, so you won't feel itchy or get infections.
You shouldn't worry about smelling, because as long as you wipe properly, rinse with plain water every time you use the shower and wear clean underwear, no one will notice. Not even when you're on your period!
