The key point here is that, at the moment, the boy's father is your fiancé. The kid and his mother aren't going to go away once you marry the man, so you're going to need to continue to deal with both of them for the indefinite future if you do get married.
If she really chaps your ass so fricken bad, then maybe you need to think again about what you're committing yourself to.
