I don't know - maybe she thought she might be into whatever animals you have. but once she saw them, they made her feel a little uncomfortable? Maybe she was picking up a lesbian vibe off you and she thought you'd have them in the living room or some other common space in the house, not your private space? Maybe it was the hardcore lesbian BDSM posters on the wall that made her nervous?
People do strange, inexplicable shit all the time. You can easily go nuts trying to understand why people do what they do. (Look at psychologists - most of them are total froot-loops.)
It's unfortunate that you felt you and she had something, while she didn't, but that sort of thing happens. Doesn't mean you're a bad person or that you necessarily did anything wrong. Entirely possible that she didn't know why being in your room made her uncomfortable.
