Is it normal's new years resolutions.

Mine is to be nicer to people and to not be so anal about fitness and the gym. I'd like to eliminate bread from my diet, not procrastinate about work and do something positive every day of this year. What are yours?

I have none 26
I have one 16
I have more than one 16
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I don't know how people can NOT come up with a New Year's Resolution. It's the best chance to make a positive change in your life! Me:

    - Pack on some more muscle + get ripped
    - Get back into my gym routine of two-a-days
    - Cut all shit food out of my life
    - Bang this bird I like
    - Get the number of this other girl I like
    - Try and fuck the girl I could never fuck last year
    - Bang the ex-gf one last time
    - Get my amazing job
    - Drive to Lake Como on my motorcycle
    - Cycle to the south of France from London
    - Get tanned
    - Get a better haircut
    - Be less hairy
    - Complete a triathlon
    - Make the most of my youth

Sounds more like a to-do list.

Figure out what I wanna do with my life, cure my OCD, and avoid losing my sanity for another year.

Imagine everyone in the world died but realize it will never be true. I am stuck in this world. WHY GOD WHY?

Press-ups every day. Even if it's only 1x10 to start out with. It's not much and I doubt I'll keep it up, but I'm sick of being so skinny. Not because it bothers me how I look, but it isn't healthy for me to be so inactive and it damages my ability to sleep.

In bed before 2am every night. If I can keep that up, in bed before 1am every day. Then midnight, and so on until I can get back to where I was 13 months ago: 11pm. Out of bed by 10am even on a weekend. My sleeping is terrible at the moment; I don't want to develop into an insomniac.

Revise my subjects. Study hard, get into university. 45 minutes revision a day.

    Start learning music theory again.

    Drink lots of water.

Reduce the amount of porn I watch (I've already started this one a few months ago and it's working well).

HELPFUL HINT: There's an iPod Touch and iPhone app called EpicWin, which I use as a reward system for my life targets. It's like a to-do list. You have a character, and whenever you complete a task you can reward yourself points. Your points accumulate and you get rewarded with items. It's good for a nerd like me to help me achieve my targets, and I'll be using it this year for my resolutions.

    1. Achieve a High Distinction average (at least 85%) in all my subjects.
    2. Make burpees my bitch.

  • To go west of the Slave Oceans. I had a dream about it last night. In the dream I was 26, which is some years from now.

    It gives me hope.

I'm not sure yet. I'll come up with it now:D! Hmm, getting rid of procrastination would be a good one for me too. Being more a bit more "active" about things is probably the main one. Try to get over stupid ways of behaving. Try to be more open and approachable, which I don't have a particular problem with right now, but there's always room for improvement:)! I'm not going to beat myself up about not fulfilling these resolutions, if that turns out to be the case. Just take things at my own pace, and just generally try to be a better person. Just have a good year really!

Edit: Ok, a thought just occurred to me and I now know my resolution:D. It is to be more accepting and forward, I guess. I make an effort to be friendly to people, and I don't have a problem with that, I'm good at it. My problem is that they're always the one to come to me, I never make an effort to do that with anyone (because I can get away with it). I'm alright for it, but I'd like to make more of an effort to push myself and to be the one to start the conversation, rather than just letting them come to me, which is currently the case. Thanks OP, this post helped me work my thoughts out a bit better:).

It was going to be to give up smoking but I've already done it and I am now properly a non-smoker and think of myself as a non-smoker.

My resolution is to keep on top of things better than I have been doing. It's my tendency to let things pile up and then be forced to do them at the last minute.

I'd also like to take a night-school class. Either creative writing or a foreign language. I keep saying I'll do it and never do.

Same ones I have every year. Quit smoking cigarettes. Stay in school. And quit cursing. That last one I have real trouble with. I have a sailors mouth.
