Ok, I get REALLY bad migraines frequently. My eyes water, I have shooting pains, I even cry... I have prescribed pills fo them, although I don't think they work. I just wanted to know if anyone knows some home remedys or tips? Thank u :) x

Are you male or female? I use to get them all the time but now that I know the triggers I don't get them very often. Sometimes they were triggered by my period and birth control. Evil hormones. I also got them with stress and would clench my jaw in my sleep. I meditate a lot and stretch or exercise to manage stress these days. Msg also gives me migraines so avoid that. As for enduring the pain, ear plugs, dark rooms, and a cold compress over the eyes. There are also many herbs that can be beneficial. Lavendar (externally) can also be very soothing.
And check your diet. Make sure you eat plenty of Omega 3 fatty acids, and check your magnesium levels. Low magnesium levels create stagnation and can create blockages. And drink water.

I also get migraines and what works for me is, the minute you start to get the slightest signs of it; {with me, it is blurred vision}; I take two Excedrin Migraine and with in ten minutes the SOB is totally gone.
My partner been using propanalol, needs to be given by a neurologist but it works wonders however he removed his after he been diganosed with diabetes because it had a tendency to mask the hypos now on endep which is classified as an anti depressant but research shows in low doses it is a good treatment for mirgraines
I hate migraines. I get them when I am under stress. Tylenol helps. I take 3 tablets (500mg) each and it goes away. I only take them whenever I get the migraines.
I suffer from migraines as well. I have tried several medications and what works for some, may not work for others, as I am sure you know! :) Maxalt dissolvable tablets work really well for me and they work fast. Neurontin didn't work for me but does for others. Topirimate is what I take on a daily basis to help prevent them, 100 mg once a day, and then the Maxalt at the onset of a bad one. I have friends who get injections in their necks, I refuse to try that. I lay down in my closet, where it is cool, quiet, and dark. I also take a medication called Tizanidine when I start to feel them coming on it relaxes the muscles in my neck and shoulders. There are different types of migraines, and I go to a Neurologist who has determined what type I have, and the best way to treat them. I hope that this helps you. Migraines can last a few hours, and sometimes a few days... I suggest you see a doctor, get referred to a Neurologist and go from there! Good luck, I empathize with you!
