Is it normal race everywhere

I feel like I have to go faster than every car on the road by any means possible. I just can't get enough of the rush I get from making split second life and death decisions when I'm running through traffic at over 2-3 times their speed. Now when I do this I'm not a complete idiot, I've had 0 accidents and only 4 speeding tickets in the last year. I credit that to my precise driving abilities and knowing what to do, when to do it. I'll admit those speeding tickets were my fault for getting caught, but I just accept that you can't have fun for free. So whether or not I have to pay $600 tickets or end up dead it doesn't matter to me at all.

I think it is normal to want to race everywhere but commonsense tells you 2-3x the speed of other motorists is not sustainable. Get a motorcycle so you are posing less of a danger to others.

If you get older the feeling lessens and you are happy to sit 10% over where your experience tells you it is safe to do so.

I think you posted your question to brag and it has backfired. Dont worry, i was young and thought street racing was cool too but its pretty well frowned upon.

You are obviously passionate about driving and possibly better than average at it and have learned car control. Now you need to learn impulse control.

Get into whatever form of motorsport you can afford to. I wish i had.

Proving you can drive faster than other people on the road is like punching someone in the back of the head.

If you cant afford to get into motorsport get a POS car with a few mates and hold time trials out in the bush. You can even do it drunk.

But please keep it off the streets. Other people may not be able to guage the speed your travelling and pull out in front of you with a baby in the car or your best friends little sister and they could be killed and then you would be sad.

Sorry didnt want to be all preachy but let me know what you think.

No it's not normal. You spent time learning to drive safely before you passed your test and there are reasons for that.
You're endangering everyone else on the road by being irresponsible. Not just drivers, anyone crossing the road, anyone walking along the side of the road, people in gardens at roadsides. You just do not have any idea what might happen whilst you are driving, and even if you think you are in full control, I can guarantee that you aren't.

You sound like a total fucking idiot!
& this is coming from someone right into high-performance cars & who has a very high-powered Jap import street car.
I love to give my car a squirt but there's a time & a place... Go to the race-track.
I'm glad you mentioned you don't mind dying as from the sound of things that will happen sooner rather than later.
It's just the poor person/people you take out with you I feel sorry for...
    Grow up!

I hope you don't live in the seattle area, because I'll stop you myself, either ill follow you to your destination or at a red light and let you know what i think of your driving, or I'll let the cops handle it, whatever comes first

  • Cars are overrated. Try the speeding and the reckless driving with a motorcycle. Oh, and if I don't get to say it to you later, your life is a cautionary tale for us all. Thanks.

  • What silliness.

My car can do more than 180 mph.

My brain knows not to do that with other cars around.

When I was a cop I scraped the brains of idiots like you off of the pavement often. There's a little something for you to look forward too.

You think you can handle things at High speed but that's just your cocky attitude. You shouldn't even be on the road because your not only endangering yourself which you clearly dont care about but it's all the innocent people on the roads that end up getting killed by thrill seekers Luke yourself. Try going to a race track or something. Atleast that way the only one you will hurt is yourself. I hope your not one of these people who say "it will never happen to me" if you are grow up. No one is invincible.

First of all, you're not the only one on the road you could kill many more ppl than just your selfish person.

Second, try on a motorcyle, police have
much more difficulty following a motorcycle than a car!
