For me planning has always felt a little too much like trying to predict or control the future. You're right, life doesn't care about our plans and most of the time it seems like life enjoys shitting all over them. Still, planning can be useful. Life is like being on a rowboat in the ocean. You have to point your boat somewhere but no matter how hard you row in that direction the current is going to take you wherever it damn well wants. Who knows where you'll end up. Just enjoy the ride, I guess.
