    You should never be ashamed of not dating people until your older. Nobody should. There is nothing wrong with that and I actually hope to do that. The idea that someone is cool because they date a lot of people is stupid. I would never want to be a slut that goes around dating every boy in sight. It's not a good thing. If anything it's actually better that you haven't in my opinion. You should 100 percent tell him. And do not expect him to take it well that you lied to him because that's your own fault for being so naive. You shouldn't have lied to him to being with and you face the consequences for what you have done.

      I didn't lie to him because I was naive. I lied because I really didn't want to explain to him why I hadn't dated.

        Just tell him that then. Tell him you lied to him and it was because you weren't comfortable telling him why you haven't dated before. If you still aren't comfortable telling him about your past, let him know that. You shouldn't lie, and you shouldn't have to lie. If he doesn't understand, it's probably better to know that sooner than later.
