Is it normal or regular to think riches are unnecessary in every way?

I'm now trying to be a normal regular person (finally!), and I think it's hard to make and support businesses without making a lot of money, but it's possible. I like money, but no more than $2,000! However any form of abundance, profusion, rich foods and beverages, valuable possessions, and splendid, costly & elaborate things are totally unnecessary, and if we were all, without exception like this, it would be almost like the early Middle Ages from 476 AD to about 1,000 AD, the way it should be, and we would be ascetic, I think asceticism is essential, and though we need lots of money to build buildings we don't need to keep all that money, but have money given to us by customers and the rest of the money given to the charities and a small paid income left to support ourselves. All we need is God's government and even one person opposed to this, the lack of money, and the lack of valuables and luxuries really makes Jesus Christ angry, and nothing should be so expensive, cars should cost no more than $3,000, because we all need to be content with less. My solution, after paying all your bills, is to blow all your money, until you have $0.00, and to not have so many possessions or luxuries, none of them are necessary. I'm a Mormon, but I don't go to the Mormon church, I think Mormons and church elders are misinterpreting the 'Doctrine And Covenants', the 'Word Of Wisdom' and any of the other teachings of Joseph Smith. For example, I can have caffeine as long as it's not hot or strong drink, and I can have alcohol, but I can't have wine or strong drink (I'm correctly interpreting the Word of Wisdom) and most Mormons don't use proper discernment or wisdom in any of Joseph Smith's books, is any of this normal or regular?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I don't think they're going to be sending out any search parties soon.

I guess that's how the Corn Flake crumbles for a Special K.

leaving all the religious stuff aside I wanna say that when I was a kid I also though that people should not have riches and the world would be better this way.

I also I coulndn't understand why while people on africa are starving and other depressed people commit suicide, we just sit here being happy and not giving a shit and how unfair this is.

The answer to both wonderings is that the world is just as it should be, with all sweetly good things and dreadfully bad things, sitting still and wishing things where different won't change facts and won't make you a better human.

Just a bit food for thought for you.

Dude if you don't want money, give it to me... It'll go towards fixing my E24 635CSI BMW nicely.

But seriously, for me a life without wealth and luxury is not a life worth living. I want money, cars, boats, a life of luxury where my family never has to worry about money.

A life I can be proud of, looking back on how I got rich, as I take a sip of Chivas 21 on a boat, looking at the sunset, lost in my own world.

Mormons all fuck each other and love polygamy. Mormonism is about sex, not about money. That money, caffeine, rich food bullshit is just a distraction. Pull down your pants and be a whore for Jesus today.

I think The lord wants you to have money just not money to have you
And I think wealth is meaningless with out family and friends

That's way too much to read, but you are correct. People are conditioned to think having expensive fancy things is a good goal because it makes people become consumers. Similar to how the marriage/kids/house future is shoved down everyone's throats. It's about keeping you in line and spending money.

Your post is too long so didn't read the whole thing but these ideals don't work with everyone in reality, that's all i can say.

Also about giving all your money to charities and living with little things, this is very noble but be careful not to be deceived by people looking for your money.
