Yea its something I'm worried about.. my cat will be able to jump over the fences and via trees so until I'm able to stop her from doing that she is going to be supervised if and when she is outside
Also make sure that you take your cat to the vet to the veterinarian to get her microchip as well as to get her all of her shots. Additionally it's important to have your cat always wear a collar with an identification tag. If course if some awful jerk wants to steal your bestfriend the only way to stop them is to not let your cat, or dog run around loose without supervision.
Another thing about cats running around loose is that they can a terror to the local bird, and rodents populations, and killing native wildlife is also a great way for your cat to catch parasites like worms, and toxoplasma gondii which can be very dangerous for pregnant women, and unborn babies!
