I'd like to clear something up-- a fetish is something that is OBLIGATORY for you to get off. Otherwise, this would be known as a kink. Unless you HAVE to see a girl stepping on something barefoot and crushing it, this is a kink, not a fetish.
I'd like to clear up your clearing up - a sexual fetish isn't necessarily something that's required for the fetishist to 'get off'.
That's according to both the ICD and DSM.
The ICD-10 F65 specifies fetishism as a "reliance on some non-living object as a stimulus for sexual arousal and sexual gratification." However, it also says: "Fetish objects vary in their importance to the individual. In some cases they simply serve to enhance sexual excitement achieved in ordinary ways." So not "obligatory" as you say.
Similarly the DSM-IV-TR says: "This paraphilia is characterized by sexual fantasies, urges, or behaviors involving use of non-human objects to produce or enhance sexual arousal with or in the absence of a partner." That means for some it's "obligatory", for others it merely "enhances" arousal.
However, most people use the word 'fetish' pretty broadly and should probably transition to using the word paraphilia. It's a much safer bet because there are fewer grey areas :)
Is it normal opinions for my obscure fetish

It's completely normal, though.
