Struggle and hard work are their own rewards. Just like respect, things earned are always worth more than those things we get for free.
Too many young people feel the world owes them and expect everything to just fall into their laps, unearned.
At 86 this cat knows what it feels like to have earned everything he now has and that gives him a feeling of achievement and satisfaction. Those give him happiness.
