    Whether it is normal or not depends on the age of the step-daughter and her previous family background. You should definitely discuss the behavior in a non-threated way with her mother and clearly set your expectations on whether or not it is allowed to continue AFTER learning more. This is the only way to know whether the child is 'testing boundaries', behaving normally as she perceives it, or doing something her mother should be concerned about.

    Yeeah definately mention it to the mother. Because if she only does this after she goes to work then she is doing it on purpose and knows her mother would not be pleased about it.

    ok, first gurll that wasn't really nice its a weird abbreviation. second, it sounds like she is showing off a little bit maybe talk to your wife and tell her what she is doing and if she has done it before. if she is comfortable with herself she would do it in front of her mom before someone outside of the family
