Is it normal not using a wash cloth in the shower?

If your really think about it wash cloths are just a breeding ground for germs. We don't use them in our home. Simply lather up with soap and hands.

You mean you don't use a peasant rag? How aristocratic. Loofah on the other hand is okay if you're so nasty soap and water with your hands doesn't do it.

    Hands work just fine.

Yes, I don't see why not. I use one myself, read that loofas are a habitat for germs and bacterias that washing won't get ride off.

I use a wash cloth when I shower/bath and I rinse it out well when I'm done so it's clean for the next time.

  • I just bathe in a big tub of disinfectant so I don’t need a washcloth.

You could rinse them out and then wash them in the laundry lol. Your bedsheets and your towels become nasty af until you wash them.

When I use one, I use it once then wash it in the washing machine. It's pretty basic hygiene.

    Do you resuse towels?

I use louffas I grew! They're way more porous than wash cloths so I feel like they don't hold on to bacteria as much. But I don't use it on my lady bits.

I thought they were meant to be more bacteria riddled? What with being left in a wet environment all the time.

They grow from a plant! But you do let them dry out for a while.

I know they grow from a plant. I'm talking about beimg stored in the bathroom, usually the tub or shower.

I've never had an issue. I use them on my dishes too. Just pop em in the laundry when I need to.

Lemme google a sec I feel like perhaps we're on different pages here.

Edit: nope. That's what I thought they were.

How do you launder them? I'm confused. Netting ones, sure, but natural?

I don't use one either. They just get moldy and gross.

I dunno, but I once heard on a skit on the Chapelle Show that white people don't use washcloths.

I'm of the Caucasian persuasion myself, and I have washcloths, bath poofs, loofahs, a back brush, a pumice stone and a Clarisonic. I also just bought some muslin cloths for my face to use when I oil cleanse. I love self care. I give myself facials; I make my own exfoliator from coconut oil, lemon juice and sugar. That's how I roll!
