Is it normal not to see a doctor about a broken toe?

My toe is really fucked up. First I kicked in a wall, causing the initial injury. I tried to ignore it but then today I lost my footing and landed on my knee, head, and fucked up toe. It was about a five foot drop. Now whenever I touch it there's a sharp pain. But for some reason I feel like it's not that important because it's just a toe.

Which toe? Unless it's your big toe there is nothing you can do about a break. If it is your big toe then go and see the doctor, that will fuck you up more than you think. You can't even walk properly without a properly functioning big toe and it will mess up your knees, hips and back.

About 6 years ago I landed on the outside part of my foot. Two weeks ago I sprained my ankle badly. I went for an X-ray. Turns out 6 years ago I chipped the bone. It healed and I have minimal issues with it. The doctor doesn’t do much for small injuries. I’d put it in a splint and ice it for a few days and maybe call your PCP but it’s not too serious of an issue.

Wtf is this advice. Broken bones definitely needs medical attention.

For what reason? They can’t really do anything for a toe.

Unless it's visibly disfigured I would just leave it

Well, do not take any risk from internal injury, consult to the doctor for complete treatment, is you feel pain that’s mean there are chances of internal injury or muscle damage.

Yeah it's a toe, but think about what its connected to... your foot and if a ligament is fucked up you might want to get it fixed. Also it probably sucks to walk no? All the more reason to take a morning in urgent care to fix it.

Just put a tiny piece of straight wood and attach it with tape. Rest for a few days and that's it!

If the pain lasts more than a day or two without signs of healing, go to the god damn doctor. It might just be "nothing" but only a qualified medical pro can know for sure.

  • Not broken. Rest it, be careful on it, it will heal

Inject heroin and forget about the pain.

Is it crooked, or a compound fracture?

I think I fractured one of my little piggies about fifteen years ago. It was the one that cried, "wee", all the way home, but I don't remember if it was the left, or right side.
