Is it normal not to desire sex with another person

I used to love sex, and almost be addicted to it. Now I've been single for two years and have become a healthy person, mentally and physically. I don't desire a relationship and am perfectly happy masturbating and can get completely sexually satisfied. Is that normal not to dream of having sex with anyone else but myself?

  • You are only fooling yourself. There is nothing wrong with it. Eventually you will realize that sex with another human is far superior to your hand.

  • I agree with Dad, it would be tough for me to go that long without the companionship of another person!

  • You've got a point.
The only thing sex can do for you that you can't do for yourself is reproduction.

  • The concern is you should be desiring companionship with another person. Not just sex!
No wonder why you have got bored with 'another person'.

    • Of course I desire companionship. But the difference between friends and lovers is obviously the intimate relationship of physical contact. However, in the past I have only compromised myself for someone else, never making me happy.
