Is it normal not to be smart?

is it normal to be kind of dumb because you didn't further your education after high school?

i mean i have common sense with some thing, but compared to other people, even younger than me, i feel dumb. like i don't no 'big' words and just other things.

Yeah, it is normal to be dumb.
However, it's rare that someone can acknowledge it. Most people seem to think they're a lot more intelligent than they actually are. So I guess in a sense, you're not as dumb as you may think.

how true....even though everyone who is smarter than them can percieve it they themselves in most cases cannot, but if you live in America then this is far from out of the ordinary..in fact it may be tone of the most normal things...very sad.

You might not be as proficient in arithmetics as a graduate but as you said you got some common sense that many ppl in school or w/ diplomas dont have. Start reading books, watch discovery lol

I suppose its normal that you feel that way. But if you don't know big words, why don't you just read more? Or read the dictionary? You could also quiz yourself on college vocabulary words. It's not hard to strengthen your vocabulary, and you don't always have to use "big" words to sound smart. If anything, it's probably gonna just make you seem like you're "trying" too hard to sound smart.

I was always very good with vocabulary, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna use all those words that people consider to be "big" in everyday conversations.

Formal education isn't everything. You could try to find out more about the topics that really interest you. Let your own curiosity about things guide you. We're so lucky to live at a time where information is so readily available.
