  • I didn't see that documentary but I'd be interested in seeing it. Do you remember what it was called? And I agree with you. I believe it's really rude to be constantly checking your phone when you are out with someone. It's one of the many problems I had with my ex. Her phone was out the whole time and it was her main focus. One time I was at her house and she put on a repeat of a programme she knew I hated (but that she liked) and then ignored it for long periods because she was checking Facebook with her phone. I felt like Facebook was her lover, the crap TV was there as her bit on the side, and I was only there on the rare occasion she might have any spare attention that neither of them could fulfil. I've never felt so belittled. Third-string entertainment!

    • I think it was one of those 'Insight' programmes. If not the BBC's 'Tonight' series it was perhaps under the collection of Channel 4 'Dispatches' at 8pm tonight - which is "Can you trust your dentist?"

It was strange to see the results higher when we think the teenagers today have everything money can buy. My mother always says that kids only want your time, not what you can buy.

A bit like you with your ex ;o)
