Is it normal normal to hate going to the grocery store ?

I like to go at midnight when nobody else is there. I never get why it's such a family affair for people- husband, wife, kids running down the aisles...tell your husband to stay at home with the kids. Jeeeesus.
Plus old women with checks and coupons...
It really tests my patience. Late at night I can just run in and run out.

I don't hate sales cashiers, but everything else... ugh. People bumping into you, or walking slowly when you're in a hurry, taking up the entire aisle... I'm getting annoyed just thinking about it.

Yeah, those stores suck. I'm grateful to have a locally owned grocery store where the staff feel like my friends. It's a neighborhood store so I usually run into people I know. Even on crowded days, people are generally respectful of their fellow shoppers space. And they aren't afraid to ask a stranger for an opinion on a specific item.

I just went Saturday afternoon, a normally peak shopping time and did not have to wait in line.

These places do exist, you just have to demand it.
