I think it is definately normal. I would often go into the bathroom when I need to poop and would sit down. I would pick one of the shampoo bottles from the side and I would just sit there reading the back of it. Sometimes I will take my kindle in their but not always. Normally I would sit there even after finishing because I just enjoy the quiet space. Sometimes I even hope it will take a while to come through if you get what I mean.
