I enjoyed the books and watch the movies when I get to it. I haven't enjoyed the movies anywhere as much as the books but I'll still watch them anyway.
I think it's got little to do with age. I'm 32, I think, and just swallowed the books as they came out; except for the fifth one (that one was far from a page turner for me).
