    I am sensing a really unhappy wife wrote this. I am divorced from a man like this.Always gaslighting and never let me buy anything because he had other girlfriends to take care of.

      Was he taking care of you? Is he still taking care of you? Probably yes with divorce laws how they are.

      Where was the obligation to buy you stuff in the wedding vows? Maybe he just believed in true gender equality. Sounds like a decent guy.

        oh he's long dead. this was forty years ago. I am with someone nice now.It is nice to get roses and little mementos so you know you matter.
