I would hypothesise that your wife is insecure about having another woman to rival her in your son's life, hence why she lashes out at any girl he might come into contact with. She's jealous and over-protective. She's got a serious problem, and your son will probably have a serious social problem when he's older unless you can do something about it. It's not normal at all.
